Thank You

As the results of the primary election become clear, I want to congratulate the candidates who have earned a place on the ballot and will advance to the November General Election. I wish them the very best as they continue engaging with voters and sharing their vision for the future of Montgomery County Public Schools.

I also want to recognize every candidate who stepped forward to run in this election. Campaigning is not easy. It requires courage, sacrifice, long hours, and a deep commitment to public service. Regardless of where the final vote totals land, each candidate contributed to important conversations about the future of our schools, our students, and our community.

To everyone who supported my campaign, thank you! Whether through your vote, a contribution, an endorsement, volunteering, sharing my message, or offering words of encouragement; I appreciate you. I am incredibly grateful for your partnership and your belief in our shared vision for MCPS.

While this primary election may be ending, my commitment to our students, families, and educators is not. In many ways, the work is just beginning.

This campaign was never about winning an election for me. It has always been about advocating for a school system that delivers excellence and opportunity for every student, regardless of their zip code, background, or circumstances. It has been about ensuring that the lived experiences of students, families, and educators are included in decisions made.  That our most vulnerable and marginalized students are not left behind in the pursuit of progress.

I remain committed to that work. I will continue advocating for accountability, transparency, student achievement, and equitable opportunities for all children. I will continue showing up, listening, collaborating, and pushing for the changes our school system deserves.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of this journey. Together, we must continue working to ensure that MCPS is the very best it can be for every student.
